As you already know, the VIII BRICS International Festival of Theatre Schools will be held from September 20 to 28. It will be traditionally hosted by the Kobzon Moscow Institute of Theatre Arts at the VDNKh open-air venue. Naturally, this event will be covered by the central television and radio channels.
Although the Festival is still a little over two months away, the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station decided to learn about its history, concept, participants, and plans for 2025. Dmitry Valentinovich Tomilin, Rector of the Moscow Institute of Theatre Arts, gave an extensive interview to Ekaterina Shevtsova, host of the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station, in which he revealed that the Festival is traditionally held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, as well as Stepan Vladimirovich Orlov, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Duma, are expected to attend. This will be a grand celebration for the creative youth who have chosen a career in the field of theatre.
Students from different countries will share their theatrical traditions and experiences, demonstrate their art to the general public, and, of course, make friends from different countries and continents.
We will post a link to Dmitry Tomilin's interview with Ekaterina Shevtsova in one of our next posts. Stay tuned for updates!
